Swimming Pools, Spas and Fountain Leaks

A favorite family activity in the Phoenix area is enjoying the pool. They make for great entertainment for your family and guests and add aesthetics and value to your home, unfortunately sometimes they leak. Amazing Leak Detection can handle any and all leak issues you may have on your pool, spa or fountain.
Your family past-time can be compromised when a swimming pool leak occurs. Even minor swimming pool leaks can cause substantial problems, result in property damage and huge water bills. It is estimated that about one in every 20 swimming pools (approximately 5%) has a water leak. Amazing Leak Detection offers professional and dependable leak detection and will resolve the water loss problem from your pool, spa, or fountain. Our non-destructive detection methods will both quickly and positively find the source of the leak. After your leak has been located, we can make the necessary repairs, getting you back on the path of enjoying your swimming pool.
Just how serious can a leak become? A small leak in a pool's plumbing system that is under 40-pounds of pressure (PSI) could lose up to 970 gallons of water in just one day! This comes to almost 30,000 gallons a month and a seriously high water bill! Amazing Leak Detection recommends that you conduct a frequent inspection of your pool and its plumbing system. A walk around in daylight hours at least a couple of times a week will go a long way to keeping on top of any possible problems well before that huge water bill comes in the mail! Call us anytime for assistance.
Signs you may have a leak in your swimming pool, spa or fountain include:
- Cracks or uneven surfaces in the pool deck
- Air bubbles in your water supply
- Water level dropping more than ¼” per day
- Wet spots in nearby grass or unexpected drainage areas
- Unexpected rise in your water bill
Environmental factors, especially in our region, will cause evaporation but not a very noticeable amount every day. Keep track of this as part of your walk around inspection and you will be alerted immediately if there is something else, like a water pipe leak, that is causing your problem.

If at all possible, your swimming pool should be vacuumed clean prior to your detection visit. Leaks as large as 1" in diameter could be missed until the dirt covering the leak is vacuumed or brushed away. Also, please be sure the water is clear and not green. If it is green, the water may contain molds, fungus, larvae or other contaminants that could make you or our divers sick, as well as making it difficult to test.
